Each poem is a result of an inspiring event and of my mood at the time of creation. Some poems are fictional while others are not. Some stem from real life events but branch off into fictional stories. Feel Free to ask questions and express opinions or share your own work.
I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback, positive or negative. I embrace new ideas and suggestions.
Thank You for taking the time to read my work.
“On Poetry” reminded me of the poem my late cousin wrote. I just wanted to share it with you.
On Poetry

Think!
The words leap out of the page, black
On the purest glaring white.
Think! they say
Feel!
Live!
React!
They lecture me
On a world of misery
Racism
Sexism
Murder
Rape
Think!
The world is not innocent, not clean
And pure.
It is full of dangers
And prejudices; of
Those who would shatter cleaner
Lives
Like glass.
Even poetry regales me
With tales
Of human faults
Weaknesses
Failings
Sins
I’ve seen the grays
The blacks and dirty
Browns of this world –
The pollution and
Misery
That infest every corner
Of this mortality.
I can’t escape
Their truths
Lessons
Morals
But I can try.
Leave me my poetry
Of flowers and fairies
Of worlds where happiness
Still exists
And the moon is more
Than a blank cratered satellite;
Where I can fly
With the bluebirds and sing
With the sirens;
Where I can dream
About a glittering rainbow world and
Escape this monotone
Reality.
